Discovered this new anime, Time of Eve, yesterday. It’s a story about Androids becoming commonplace in Japan in the future, and people not being to distinguish them from real people except for a ring on their heads. There is a cafe where the androids are allowed to deactivate their rings, and there is no discrimination between people and androids in that cafe. Stories stem from the cafe when the line between android and human is blurred, and that’s what this anime is all about.

The animation is fantastic and looks realistic. And the best part is, it’s officially available on crunchyroll in high resolution. You don’t have to search for the torrent. :) A new episode will be released every two months.

My team won an iPod Touch 16GB during the company trip (from the presentation, sand castle building and treasure hunt events). My boss gave it out on my birthday! I was on leave that day, so I got it from my heart heart the next day when I returned to work. Our name and company name are engraved at the back, so I can’t sell it off, much as I would like to. :p

I named it Christian. I have no idea why, but this name just popped up the moment I saw it. Haha. So now I have Eva, my blinged out iPod Shuffle, and Christian, my iPod Touch.

I’m not bringing it out until I have the protective case for it. Been browsing the Internet for something nice, but none caught my eye until last Friday. I ordered RebelTouch in Arctic color from SwitchEasy (See lower left hand corner of pic on top). It’s being sent to my vPost USA address, so I prolly won’t get it until a couple of weeks later. I know it’s expensive, but what is $40+ bucks compared to a free iPod Touch that costs almost $500? Meanwhile, I’m pumping it full of content so that I can have fun with it when I can finally bring it out. :)

Also, my wallpaper is a pic of Zy’lah Manslayer from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (WoW TCG). My main character in WoW was a female troll warrior called Zulfang who looked like Zy’lah Manslayer. When the WoW TCG was launched, all my guildmates mentioned that this card reminded them of me. Haha. So I used this pic as my msn avatar for a while. I really like this pic, cos it bears an amazing likeness to Zulfang. I would have liked Zulfang to dual wield all the way as a Fury warrior, but due to circumstances, I had to spec her as main tank for Raid 2. She had the uber claws from Zul’Gurub which will turn her into a Tiger randomly as she hits a target. Took me almost a year to complete that set of claws. Hahaha. I miss her, but I’ve since sold off my account, so… ya. No going back to the game, it sucks your life force away.

In retrospect, the funnest thing about birthdays is that it gets better every year! :)

17 Nov, Monday

I was on leave on Monday and treated myself to a massage at Subtle Senses, then met my colleagues for lunch since I was in the area. I thought it would be a small group lunch since I only told colleagues in my dept that I’ll be in the area on Monday. Was pleasantly surprised when so many people turned up and we had to occupy two long tables. Thanks everybody for giving me face. :p

Then I went home to nap after seeing the Chinese sinseh again. He says my health is generally better, but my liver, digestion and lungs are still weak, so he prescribed me with more medicine. Met Mr Mini Cooper for dinner and he surprised me with a Baby G. It’s weird, but he’s already read my mind two years in a row. Last year, he gave me the iPod Shuffle, which I christened Eva and zhng-ed her with bling few months back, when I was secretly considering getting my own. This year, I was also thinking of getting myself a new Baby G for my birthday, just that I haven’t had the time to go shopping for it. But now I don’t have to make time anymore. Hur hur.

16 Nov, Sunday

Pipi treated me to Avenue Q – The Musical at the Esplanade. It was a great musical. Even though the jokes were crude, they were really funny. :) We nearly bought the t shirts, but didn’t in the end, as they weren’t really in good taste.

We met my colleagues for dinner at Hans after the musical, and then we went to the Party World next to our office for 4 hours worth of KTV. When it was almost 12am, they brought out a cake, which Terence unceremoniously grabbed and put on the table, and lit a candle on it. Then they sang me a birthday song. It was a very nice surprise and I didn’t see it coming at all. They also wrote me a very nice card and gave me a laptop bag. Which was too small, but we got it exchanged during lunchtime today. :)

I really like that pic of me and Pipi at the KTV in the collage above. I have that pic of Terence up there as well cos I didn’t want to waste Shruti’s efforts in creating scandals by capturing only shots of two of us in her cam! When I saw the photos taken on her cam of that night, I was like…”What is this?!?! -_-” Also, I think I look darn chio out of focus and grainy. Hahaha.

Requested me to write an essay
Can’t afford her a Nether ray
So here’s the poem, Happy Birthday =)

TheDojiMan wrote me this poem after I requested for it on Facebook! Haha. :D

Gawd. I turn 25 today. That means I am officially a Christmas Cake! Nonetheless, I had a blast!

The term クリスマス・ケーキ (Kurisumasu Kēki) has also been used to refer to women in a very unflattering way. Young women were expected to be married by the age of 25; just as no one wants a Japanese Christmas cake after 25 December, a woman over 25 was seen as past her sell-by date.

15 Nov, Saturday

I had my Japanese Oral exam on Saturday, did some shopping after that, and went to ECP for a BBQ. MZ’s my mummy this year, she organised the birthday BBQ for me and tried to pimp me off as well. Haha. I really appreciate her generous gesture, cos I have no time to organise anything at all. It was a small gathering, but I enjoyed it.

14 Nov, Friday

I met Yun and BJ for dinner at Shokudo, Raffles City Shopping Centre. Went in one time with HJM and KawaiiLG, but we didn’t eat anything there, so I thought I’d give it a try. :p We spent time catching up, and am quite glad that Yun’s life has less clutter now. :) And BJ forgot to bring that earring rack she helped me buy (again). Haha.

I didn’t mention this, but I’ve been promoted to Project Manager since the beginning of November. I’ve always wanted to order from Cupcake Momma, but never had the occasion to, so I thought this will be a nice opportunity. The cupcakes arrived at the office yesterday before lunch. :)

I ordered 12 pieces of Roar! Jungle King, 12 pieces of White & Red Hearts and 12 pieces of assorted cupcakes. The lions are for the MySG people, cos I simply love their Roar for Singapore banners. White and red hearts for all the girl-girl and boy-boy relationships formed during the company trip. And assorted cos it has shooting star design. :)

I packed 4 cupcakes for my retainer client, as I had a meeting with them yesterday afternoon. Too bad it was not well-received cos the client does not like sweet stuff. The cupcakes were a hit with my colleagues, though. Some of them had more than one. Luckily I ordered more than 30 of them. :p
